It all started a long time ago.  The year was 2002.  Luca from Italy asked me a simple query on tuning a 500CC.    I did not know till then that they rode Enfield in Italy!.  Soon enough I learnt there are Enfield lovers around the world who are just as passionate about that motorcycle as we are out there in India.  In India we have a Motorcycle workshop on every turn; moreover we the core enthusiasts take pride in fixing up our ride ourselves.  That was not the case for other countries – I mean not many workshops!  Even in England, the place where Enfield was born and raised the rider community is shrinking.  Forget US, where the beauty of a single cylinder is seldom appreciated!  The landscape of maintenance looked bleak for people outside India. While there is no Silver Bullet (Pun intended!), I thought let me try to see what can be done.

I was fascinated at the response I got for a call for help in a Yahoo group!  More than 20 people offered to help me build a maintenance website.  Over the next many months we together built a website article by article.  That was just the beginning.  Articles started coming in, and then we knew we have made a lasting contribution.

Now after many years, still there are lots of places to improve.  The pictures are old and are in black and white.  There are many areas where more information could be provided.  There are many articles that could be rewritten.  And we need your help!
If you want to contribute your time to this website drop us a line at bullet.enfield@gmail.com.  We appreciate your help, and believe me with out you and me there will not be an Enfield community.

It is never what that machine can do for you, think what you can do for your machine

Thank you
